Thunder Hope to Blast the Hornets
Today the OKC Thunder are set to face the New Orleans Hornets. The Hornets are coming off of a thrilling win versus the Warriors on Monday night, beating them 135-131. The Hornets are still without Chris Paul, but as was seen Monday, they can pull their weight enough to score a few baskets. The Thunder themselves are coming off of a win, winning their second in a row versus the Kings this past Sunday. DJ White has once again joined the Oklahoma City squad and hopes to make a contribution in a big game against New Orleans. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook look to continue their individual dominance by anchoring the Thunder into their 39th win of the season. Jeff Green has been a big contributor as well, averaging 13.6 points over his past 5 games along with 5.2 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 1.4 blocks. The whole team has really become more of a well-rounded team, averaging a higher point total along with more players getting involved in defensive plays. The only problem defensively has been the difficulty to get it all together lately as they have yielded more points on average to their opponents. Overall, with the Thunder still rolling and finding ways to win, the game should be an exciting matchup, a matchup between the current and beloved OKC team and the old, beloved NO/OKC-now-New-Orleans team. May the best team win.
